The Life & Soul of Fleadh Cheoil

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is in Belfast for the first time in 2026, and the Europa Hotel is proud to be a central partner to the event. From Sunday 2nd to Sunday 9th August, the city comes alive with traditional music, street sessions, competitions and culture – and the Europa sits right at the heart of it all. The Gig Rig, City Hall, Ulster Hall, ICC Belfast and the main competition venues are all within easy walking distance, meaning no taxis, buses, or missing a single moment of this iconic week.

After a long day of music and competition, everything you need is right here at the hotel. The Lobby Bar is open from 12pm for drinks, with views onto Great Victoria Street, allowing you to keep involved with all of the action and serving delicious food throughout the day. The Causerie at Europa, our on-site restaurant, is one of Belfast’s most celebrated dining destinations, offering the perfect central setting for a proper meal throughout the evening, or for something more atmospheric, our infamous Piano Lounge provides a view of the city streets, and during Fleadh week, it will take on a character all of its own.
